Review & publish
Going live: what publishing does, and how to unpublish or archive.
The pre-flight checklist
The Review & publish step shows what’s done and what’s missing across the builder — details, landing page, structure, quiz. You can publish without completing everything, but the checklist tells you exactly what students will and won’t see.
Publishing
Press Publish course: the course appears in the catalog and its landing page goes live at its slug. Drafts are invisible to students until this moment. Once live, use Preview as student in the builder header to see exactly what learners see.
Editing after launch — versions
Keep editing a live course freely; content changes reach students as you save. When you’ve made a meaningful revision, press Republish (bump version) — it snapshots a new version number so each certificate records which version of the course the student passed. The current version badge shows in the builder header.
Unpublish, archive, delete
From the course list’s row actions:
- Unpublish — back to draft; hidden from the catalog, existing students keep access.
- Archive — retire the course for good while preserving students, records and certificates. The right choice for a course that had enrollments.
- Delete — only for never-needed drafts; disabled while a course is published.
