Taking quizzes
Module checks vs the final assessment: passing scores, retakes, and cooldowns.
Two kinds of quiz
- Module checks — short practice quizzes inside the player at the end of a module. They’re for learning, and in quiz-gated courses passing one unlocks the next module.
- The final assessment — the course-level quiz that earns your certificate. It unlocks once you reach the course’s required progress (shown on its card in the player sidebar).
Module checks — unlimited retakes, full feedback
Take a check as often as you like — no limits, no waiting. After you submit, every question is reviewed with you: your answer, the correct answer, and a “Why:” explanation where the instructor added one. Pass the shown threshold and the next module opens immediately; already-passed checks can be retaken anytime for practice.
The final assessment — limited attempts, real stakes
Because passing issues a verifiable certificate, the final quiz is stricter:
- Limited attempts — the course sets how many tries you get.
- Cooldown — after a failed attempt you may need to wait (e.g. an hour) before retrying.
- No answer sheet — unlike module checks, correct answers aren’t revealed afterwards.
You’ll see your score immediately: You passed! issues your certificate on the spot, with a link to view and share it.
Timed quizzes
Some final assessments have a time limit — a countdown runs in the sticky bar while you answer, turning orange in the last minute. When it reaches zero your answers are submitted automatically, so answer the questions you’re sure of first.
Fair and tamper-proof
All scoring happens on the server — correct answers are never sent to your browser, and quizzes only unlock after your actual course progress qualifies. That’s what lets anyone trust a certificate verified through its public link.
